I was born and raised in Regina, Sask. I went on to attend the University of Regina for 2 years after graduating from Grade 12, then moved to BC to finish my degree in Psychology at UBC. After completing my Degree, I moved to Yellowknife, NT. I worked in various jobs before landing a job as a Chairside Assistant at Adam Dental Clinic. I enjoyed being an assistant and the satisfaction it brought from feeling able to help others so much that I took a leave of absence to attend SIAST to obtain my RDA certification in Dental Assisting. Having worked in the field for almost 12 years, I took a 16 year break to become a stay-at-home Mom to 2 boys. Within this time, our family made a move to Whitehorse almost 9 years ago. I was brought on to join the staff as a Float Assistant at Riverstone Dental 4 years ago. Although it has been an adjustment to come back to work after 16 years absence from the field, I have been enjoying it ever since! Getting to know our clientele, helping them feel at ease when in the chair, sharing friendly conversations, and seeing that we've made a difference in their dental health care makes it all worthwhile and satisfying.
When I'm not in the office, you can find me in the kitchen baking and creating cakes, or enjoying the great outdoors with my family camping, fishing, boating, or hiking.
Cheers!
