I love creating smiles and changing people’s lives. When I begin to develop a treatment plan for a new patient, I look at the person’s whole face, not just the teeth. I consider how form and function will work harmoniously to create an amazing new smile for that individual.
As an orthodontist, my goal is to help each person achieve the best possible result in the shortest time frame. The revolutionary Invisalign® treatment process, and digital scanning of the patient’s teeth, makes that possible for everyone.
The relationships that develop between my patients and me often go beyond that of patient and healthcare provider: We become friends and partners, who work together in pursuit of straight teeth and beautiful smiles. I love that I see each patient on a frequent basis, because it allows me to build a close relationship with them. Sometimes I am even lucky enough to meet and provide care to their family members and friends, too!
I am a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition, I serve as an associate professor of orthodontics at the University of Alberta here in Edmonton.
When I’m not caring for patients or studying, I enjoy being outdoors, especially fishing and biking. I’m an avid fan of the Edmonton Oilers and Eskimos football.
